This volume updates the 1991 edition by discussing more current issues, theories, developments, and analytic frameworks. Tisdell masterfully weaves into many chapters insights from ecological economics a somewhat new area of economics that cannot be ignored in informed discussions of environmental conservation. . . Tisdell writes clearly and documents each chapter extremely well. He presents a quite balanced view on policy issues, discussing pros and cons of different policies. . .
